PLEASANT GROVE COMMUNITY… Mrs. Ethelyn “Lynn” Arterburn Starcher, a resident of the Pleasant Grove Community, near Ozark, died late Saturday morning, July 9, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 66.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 12, 2022, in the Westview Memorial Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Jarred Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the services.
In lieu of flowers, it was Lynn’s desire that memorial contributions may be made to Abundant Life Holiness Church Building Fund, 428 County Road 231 Elba, AL 36323.
Mrs. Starcher, daughter of the late Brent Duane Arterburn and Martha Pauline Stokley was a native of Lakeland, Florida. She was a 1973 Graduate of Groveland High School in Groveland, Florida. Mrs. Starcher graduated from Valencia Community College as a Registered Nurse and received her Master's of Science in Nursing from University of Central Florida. She was formerly employed with Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, Florida as an Operating Room nurse and Operating Room Preceptor who taught new nurses with her love and skill for the Operating Room. Mrs. Starcher moved to Ozark in January 2010 where she spent the remainder of her life enjoying her grandchildren, helping with their homeschooling, and getting closer to God. She was a member of the Abundant Life Holiness Church in Enterprise.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Renea Faulkner (David), Ozark; five sisters, Debbie Myers (Ray), Crossville, Tennessee, Delta Jordan, Vero Beach, Florida, Jorja White (Wally), Tallahassee, Florida, Holly Coulter (Jerry), Gillette, Wyoming, and Ruthie Platt (Bruce), Green Cove Springs, Florida; three brothers, Jeff Townsend (Cindy), Youngstown, Florida, Brent Arterburn, Apopka, Florida, and Hollis Townsend (Pam), Blairsville, Georgia; three grandchildren, Lucas Faulkner, Nathan Faulkner, and Eben Faulkner; several beloved nieces and nephews.
