OZARK…Mrs. Annette Hagler Bright, a resident of the Post Oak Community, near Ozark, died Monday morning, January 31, 2022, at her home. She was 79.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, February 3, 2022, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in First Holy Ground Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. Thursday in the chapel. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bright, daughter of the late Hester Hazon Hagler and Tommie Gladys Welch Hagler, was a native of Dale County, near Skipperville. She was formerly employed with Bracewell Accounting and also Bright Heating & Air Conditioning as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Bright along with her husband, David, was co-founders of First Holy Ground Church. She enjoyed singing, fishing, and playing Bingo. Mrs. Bright was preceded in death by her husband, David Bright; sisters, Hazel Roberts and husband, Roscoe and Margaret Miller and her husband, Kenneth; a brother, Johnnie C. Hagler and wife, Ruth.
Surviving relatives include her two daughters, Tammy Bright Hudson (Jimmy) and Angela Walker (Gary); two sons, Ricky Bright (Karen), and John “Jody” Bright, all of Ozark; a sister, Lanara Barrentine, Ozark; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
