OZARK…. Ms. Betty Linda Cotten McCall, a resident of Ozark, died late Saturday evening, January 23, 2021 at her home. She was 74.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Nic Boatwright officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. It is requested that all attendees honor COVID-19 protocols by wearing masks and use social distancing.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 415 James Street, Ozark, AL 36360.
Ms. McCall, daughter of the late Sam Tola Cotten and Johnnie Lenora Bradley Cotten, was a native of River Falls, Alabama. She moved to Ozark in 1952 and was a 1964 Graduate of Carroll High School. Ms. McCall attended Wallace Community College in Napier Field. She was formerly employed with Commercial Bank, Fort Rucker National Bank, and was retired from Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union (All In) as a bank teller. Ms. McCall was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Smith.
Surviving relatives include her two daughters, Angie Shlam (Norman) and Ann Marie Cook (Daniel); her son, Jordan McCall, all of Ozark; her sister, Rebecca Conley, Kissimmee, FL; four grandchildren, Josh Shlam, Chelsea Shlam Hyde (J.C.), Trevor Shlam, and Trotter Cook; two great-grandchildren, Jaysea Rayne Hyde and Delaney Hyde; numerous other close family members.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Jordan McCall, Josh Shlam, Trevor Shlam, Daniel Cook, J.C. Hyde, and Norman Shlam.
