HEADLAND…. Bonnie White, a resident of Headland, died Wednesday morning, December 19, 2018 at her home. She was 76.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 21, 2018, in the Worship Center of First Baptist Church of Headland with Dr. Cecil M. Sanders, Jr. officiating. Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Headland, c/o Building Fund, 301 E. Church St., Headland, AL 36345.
Mrs. White, daughter of the late George Lawson Mayberry and Virginia France Myers Mayberry, was a native of Lynchburg, Virginia. She formerly lived in the Pisgah Community of Dale County before moving to Headland.
Mrs. Bonnie was a true farmers partner, where she kept books for the family farm. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Headland, where she was active participant in the Teresa Morris Sunday School Class. Mrs. White was also active in (W.I.F.E.) Women Involved in Farming Economics. She also was affiliated with the Headland Study Club.
Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Edward E. "Chalk" White of Headland; daughters, Leigh Bolt (Andy) of Madison, New Jersey, Kym Grogan of Dothan and Natasha Rippey (Bill), of Newville; a son, Jason White of Newville; sisters, Bev Bishop of Headland and Pam Topolka (Joe) of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a brother, Rick Mayberry (Annette) of Virginia Beach, Virginia;
eight grandchildren, Courtney Stokes (Tucker), Rein Rippey, Clay Rippey, Ramsey Rippey, Kelsey White, Kyleigh White, Kody White and Anne Bolt; special caregiver, Kathy Dyson.
