OZARK…Mr. Carrick Owen Yaws, a resident of Ozark, died late Monday afternoon, April 12, 2021 in the emergency room of Dale Medical Center. He was 43.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, April 24, 2021 in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, near Brundidge, with Reverend Dr. Lee Windham officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. prior to the services in the church. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Carrick was born June 7, 1977 in Decatur, Alabama and moved to Ft. Lupton, Colorado at an early age. He attended the New Mexico Military Institute and was a 2000 Graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. Carrick served in the United States Air Force until 2012. While in the Air Force, he was a pilot, flying the C130 and C12 planes. He moved to Ozark in 2012 where he was employed with Flight Safety International and currently employed with CAE as a Simulator Instructor. Carrick was preceded in death by a brother, Clint Yaws.
Surviving relatives include his high school sweetheart and wife of twenty years, Keri Yaws, Ozark; parents, Craig Owen Yaws and Sharon Louise Haut Yaws, Ft. Lupton, CO; brother, Christopher Yaws (Jennifer Mathiesen), Denver, CO; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Karl and Lynne Kirchner, Montrose, CO; his fur babies, Gus, Bailey and Rio.
