CLEARWATER, FLORIDA…Mrs. Catheryn Tew Dykes, a resident of Clearwater, Florida and former resident of Dothan, Alabama, died Thursday, January 11, 2024 while in hospice care. She was 86.
The family will receive friends at Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark, Alabama on Saturday, 2:00 pm on January 20, 2024 with the Rev. Woody Farrington officiating and Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home directing. Private graveside services will be held immediately afterward at Spring Hill Baptist Church cemetery outside of Clio, Alabama.

Ms. Dykes was born November 28, 1937 in Louisville, Alabama to Edward Tew and Percy Tyler. She lived the early years of her life in the area of Blue Springs, Alabama, and she was a 1956 graduate of Clio High School. She was a devoted homemaker and occasionally worked as a substitute teacher at Girard Elementary and as a bank accountant. For most of her life Ms. Dykes was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dothan, Alabama. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and loved the Lord.
Survivors include her husband Robert Dykes, son Michael Dykes, and son Jeffrey Dykes and wife Tess; three grandchildren, Seth Dykes, Anna Dykes, and James Dykes; brother Don Tew, sister Judy Watson, and many close friends.
