Chamera Taybree Byrdsong-Scott died unexpectedly Monday, December 4, 2017 at her home in Rehobeth. She was 37.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 15, 2017 at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home, 508 Faust Ave., Ozark, AL from 4-7. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Cottonwood Road with Wade Register officiating.

Chamera was born in Birmingham Alabama on Feb 22, 1980 where she spent her early years. She graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1998 and shortly thereafter married the love of her life Roosevelt Scott II. Together they had four amazing children, three boys and one baby girl. At the age of 19 she dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Chamera always had a flair for beauty and fun. This was evidenced by the way she carried herself and the wonderful way she interacted with others. She obtained her cosmetology license in 2003. In 2006 Chamera relocated with her family to the Dothan area where they became members of the Dothan Rosewood Congregation. She later went on to obtain her real estate license in 2014. All who knew Chamera will never forget the wonderful dishes she prepared, her friendly nature and her fun loving personality. She loved traveling with friends, music, dancing and being a gracious host. Most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her family, the fun trips with her husband, the precious moments she shared with her boys, and the girls only time with her daughter.

All who knew Chamera will never forget her friendly nature, fun-loving personality and her sense of humor. She was a caring and loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed and remembered.

Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Roosevelt Scott II; her children, Roosevelt Scott III, Ramsey Scott, Jayden Scott and Naveah Scott; her parents, Ramsey and Belinda Byrdsong; her father-in-law Roosevelt Scott Sr and mother-in-law Grace Moore. Very special family members Eddie and Martha Bishop; and Eric and Miriam Register, along with a host of family and friends.
