Charles E. Carr, a resident of the Post Oak Community, near Ozark, died Friday afternoon, May 4, 2018 at his home. He was 74.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Sunday, May 6, 2018 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel, Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
Mr. Carr, son of the late Emmett O'Neal Carr and Shirley Woodard Carr, was a native and lifelong resident of Ozark. He served his country in the Alabama Army National Guard, Ozark Unit and was activated during the Berlin Crisis. Mr. Carr was a member of the Claybank Masonic Lodge #908, Ozark and was a Master Mason. He was currently employed as a Simulator Technician at Ft. Rucker, where he had been employed for over thirty years. Mr. Carr was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy "Buddy" Carr and Roger Carr.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Faye Bell Carr, Post Oak Community; his son, Kevin Carr (Carol), Ozark; grandson, Aaron Allen Carr; two granddaughters, Amber Crooks (Shane) and Autumn Ashley Carr; two great-grandsons, Landon and Layton Crooks; several nieces and nephews also survive.
