OZARK… Cris Hasty (CW2, Alabama Army National Guard), a resident of Ozark, died Sunday, September 4, 2022, in Greenville, Alabama. He was 48.
Graveside services, with full military honors, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 8, 2022, in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Chaplain, Alabama Army National Guard, Colonel Wylly Collins officiating. The family will receive friends following the services. Fuqua Bankston Funeral of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hasty was born May 3, 1973, in Tacoma, Washington and moved to Ozark in 1987. He was a 1991 Graduate of Carroll High School and attended Auburn University. Mr. Hasty was currently serving in the Alabama Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Todd Hasty; grandparents, Ettel L. and Dorothy I. Hasty and Joe T. and Jewel M. Southard; aunts, Kathy Baehr, Donna Hasty and Jan Hasty; uncle, Noel Hasty and Joe Dennis Southard, Jr.
Surviving relatives include his son, Joshua A. Hasty; parents, Ron Hasty (SFC, United States Army, Retired) and Jo Ann Southard Hasty, all of Ozark; nephews, Zachary A. Mullins and Tristin Cole Mullins; aunts, Kay Tropf (Doug), Sue Watkins (Butch), and Pam Easter (Ben); uncles, Lonnie Hasty (Brenda) and Dennis Hasty, all of Missouri; numerous cousins and friends.
