Daniel Ray

ECHO COMMUNITY…. Daniel Ray, a resident of the Echo Community, died Sunday morning, March 28, 2021 at his home. He was 38.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 1, 2021 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel. At other times, the family will be at the home of his mother, Tewana Kirkland, 850 S. County Road 67, Midland City.

Daniel was a native of Jackson, Tennessee and moved to Dale County at an early age. He attended G.W. Long High School in Skipperville. Daniel enjoyed riding his motorcycle, cooking out with his family and friends, and watching his beloved daughters play sports. He was currently employed with Wiley Sanders Trucking Co. in Troy as a truck driver. Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Calvin Ray and grandfather, Bill King.

Surviving relatives include his two daughters, Ashley Ray (Brock Gordon), Ozark and Kelsi Ray, Dothan; mother, Tewana Kirkland (Tony), Echo Community; two sisters, Sherry Ray, Ozark and Sonja Adcox, Georgia; three brothers, Rex Ray (Melissa Gordon), Orange Co, CA, William King, Skipperville, and Derrick Ray, Ozark; mother of his children, Starla Spear, Dothan; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
