Mrs. Demetra "Faye" Clayson, of Ozark, Alabama, died Monday, November 6, 2017. She was 89 years old.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 9 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ozark Church of Christ with Minister Justin Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or Memorial contributions may be made to Ozark Church of Christ, 177 Myrtle Drive, Ozark, AL 36360.
Mrs. Clayson was born March 25, 1928 in Tennessee and grew up in the Memphis area. In 1970, she moved to Ozark. She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed sewing for her grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Ozark Church of Christ and loved her church family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edgar "H.E." Clayson; three sons, Stephen Barker, Robert Clayson and David Clayson; a grand daughter, Crystal Mae Kelley; and her parents, Kim Buck and Ola Bell Spratlin Stephenson.
She is survived by three children, Pat Kelley (David), James Harold Clayson (Freida) both of Ozark and Edward Thomas Clayson (Betty) of Walkersville, Maryland; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
