Diana Behringer

February 9, 1943 — January 4, 2019

OZARK…. Mrs. Diana Hicks Behringer, a resident of Ozark, died Friday morning, January 4, 2019 in a Dothan hospital. She was 75.

In keeping with her wishes, there are no services planned at this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Behringer, daughter of the late Lewis Merton Hicks and Vera Belle Johnson Anthony, was a native of Newcomb, TN. She formerly lived in Detroit, MI and various locations in the United States while her husband served as a United States Marshal
before moving to Ozark in 2001. Mrs. Behringer served as a baseball and softball coach for her children's teams and also served as an umpire.
She was offered a scholarship in basketball to Berea College in Kentucky and held the most points scored in a game record at Jellico High School. Mrs. Behringer was preceded in death by her husband, Don "Duke" Behringer and a sister, Judy Hicks.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Diana Duchess Behringer, Silverdale, WA and Echo Carothers (Casey), Lewistown, PA; her son, Samuel Duke Behringer (DeLynne), Ozark; two sisters, Sylvia Huddleston (Ted), Fresno, CA and Sharon Loutsenhizer, Pahrump, NV;
two brothers, David Anthony and Timothy Anthony, both of Parkersburg, WV; seven grandchildren, Jacob Able, Samantha Able, Joshua Behringer, Diana Nikki Behringer,
Samuel Duke Behringer, II, Bella Marie Carothers, and Chase Alexander Carothers; one great-granddaughter, Harper Adore Able; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
