OZARK… Mrs. Dianne Carr Williams, a resident of Ozark, died Thursday afternoon, April 8, 2021 in a Dothan hospital. She was 66.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 12, 2021 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Danny Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams, daughter of the late William Lawrence Carr and Minnie Lee Gilley Carr, was a native of Ozark. She formerly lived in Mobile for several years before returning to Ozark in 2009. In earlier years, she was employed with Judy Bond as a sewing machine operator. Mrs. Williams was a member of Irvington Fellowship Bible Church in Irvington, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Williams, her sister, Sarah Frances Sitz and four brothers, Lawrence Carr, Jr., John Wayne Carr, Bobby Joe Carr, and Jimmy Lee “Buster” Carr.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Ashley Tew (Tim), Echo Community; son, Jeff Williams (Melissa), Irvington, AL; brother, Danny Ray “Rooster” Carr (Becky), Columbia; four grandchildren, Trent Williams, Mason Williams, Kimber Tew, and Ty Tew; goddaughter, Leigh Anne Edgar; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives including her best friend/sister, Trish Chancey.
