Ronnie Miller Jackson was born December 4, 1949 to the late Reliford David Jackson and Susie Miller Jackson in Dale County, Alabama. Dr. Jackson attended Troy University where he received his Master in Education Degree and The University of Sarasota where he received his Doctorate of Education. During his career as an educator, Dr. Jackson served many students as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, guidance counselor, and principal. He also served as the Superintendent of the Dale County School System. Dr. Jackson was preceded in death by his brother, David Alvin Jackson and his devoted dog, Scratch.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Hilda Hernandez Jackson; a sister, Bethene Jackson Childree (Earl); nephews, Winston Jackson DeLoney, David Ryan Childree, Phil Childree; and a sister-in-law, Ann Stubbs DeLoney. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ozark Animal Shelter, 1315 Parker Drive, Ozark, Alabama 36360; the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama 36361; or a charitable organization of your choice.
