Eloise "Janice" Griswold

SNELLVILLE, GEORGIA…Ms. Eloise “Janice” Gunter Griswold, a resident of Snellville, Georgia (formerly of Ozark), died Saturday morning, August 13, 2022, in Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Snellville. She was 77.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 18, 2022, in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Whitt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the church.

Ms. Griswold, daughter of the late Roy Windell Gunter and Bertha Mae Peters Gunter, was a native of Ozark. Eloise had many relatives and friends in Ozark. She was of Christian faith and loved reading the bible and listening to Gospel music! She loved helping people and always had a kind word and a smile for everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by all.  Ms. Griswold was preceded in death by her son Robert Makarits and her grandson Matthew Makarits.

Surviving relatives include her sons, Steven Makarits, Andrew Makarits (Karen), and Daniel Makarits; sisters, Hazel Galuska (Jimmy) and  Phyllis Gunter Manion (John); granddaughter Kristi Bell (Brittany).
