Frances Powell

Frances Pauline Danner Powell, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 78 years old.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Hospice Chaplain Kathy Stumbaugh officiating and Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 on Tuesday prior to service time.

Mrs. Powell was born March 25, 1938 to the late Howard Danner and Lillian Hartzog Danner. She was raised in the Dale County area working in the manufacturing industry.

Mrs. Powell is preceded in death by her husband, Mancil Powell; her son, Lewis Ripley Mclendon; her sisters, Annette Danner Garmont, Yvonne Danner Chancey and Jean Danner Bright; one brother, Bobby Lomax Danner.

She is survived by three daughters, Wendy Gail Mclendon of Ozark, AL, Audrey Darlene Woodson of Vina, AL, Amy Arlene Cole of Pontotoc, MS; one brother, James Gordon Danner of Cedar Park, TX and a special niece, Debbie Bright Woodard. Seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive.

Active pallbearers will be Archie Attaway, Eric Attaway, Casey Mills and Clay Woodson.
