Frances Rebecca Bryant

CRESTVIEW, FL…Mrs. Frances Rebecca Hughes Bryant, a resident of Crestview, FL (formerly of Ozark), died late Saturday morning, June 18, 2022, in a Crestview, FL nursing home. She was 84.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with her nephew, Kip Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Skipperville Community Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bryant, daughter of the late Young Hughes and Jewel Phillips Hughes, was a native of Ozark and attended Dale County High School in Ozark. She formerly lived in Georgia before moving to Crestview in 2014. Mrs. Bryant was formerly employed with Respironics, Inc. a company that makes baby products. She was a member of the Church at Liberty Square in Cartersville, Georgia. Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband, John “JC” Bryant; siblings, Mary Wallace, Wayne Hughes, and an infant sister, Kathleen.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Pamela Bryant Swartz (Wayne), Baker, FL. And Theresa Bryant Wallace, Panama City Beach, FL; her son, John William Bryant, Las Vegas, Nevada; a sister, Betty Malone (Al), Trinity, FL; brother-in-law, Robert Floyd Bryant (Deb), Lowell, MI; three grandchildren, Paul Lee York, Amanda Dianne York, and Andrew James York (Mallorie); six great-grandchildren, Tyler Clark, Riley York, Bailey York, Teagan York, Hunter James York-Clark, and Easton James York; several nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Andrew York, Paul York, Lyle Buchanan, Keith Ferguson, and Ken Abernathy.
