OZARK…Franklin G. Shiver, a resident of Ozark, died late Wednesday morning, December 21, 2022, in a Dothan hospital. He was 77.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 26, 2022, in the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Cemetery, near Blue Springs, with Reverend Daniel Rieben officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Cemetery Fund, c/o Alicia Shiver, PO Box 154, Clio, Alabama 36017.
Mr. Shiver, son of the late Dee Shiver and Mildred Robinette Shiver, was a native of Barbour County, near Clio. He was a 1964 Graduate of Clio High School. Mr. Shiver moved to Ozark in 1978 and was retired from G.T.E. after twenty-nine years of employment. He enjoyed watching tv, especially Gunsmoke and the Andy Griffith Show. Mr. Shiver attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian S. Shiver.
Surviving relatives include his wife of fifty-five years, Sharon Helms Shiver, Ozark; his daughter, Michele Shiver, Dothan; daughter-in-law, Melena Kjeldgaard Shiver; his sister, Alicia Shiver, Clio; two grandchildren, Erin Shiver and Jacob Shiver (Alexandria); a great-grandchild, Jayce Shiver.
