CENTER RIDGE COMMUNITY… Mrs. Fronnie Outlaw Culverhouse, a resident of the Center Ridge Community, between Ozark and Ariton, died early Monday morning, February 11, 2019 in a Dothan hospital. She was 74.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 14, 2019 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Hale and Pastor Harold Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Center Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Culverhouse, daughter of the late James Edward Outlaw and Jewel Marie Whigham Outlaw, was a lifelong resident of the Post Oak and Center Ridge Communities. She was a school bus driver for twenty-six years and following her retirement she served on the Dale County Board of Education from 2002-2008. Mrs. Culverhouse worked as a dispatcher and bookkeeper for her husband's trucking company based in Ariton for many years. She was an active grandmother in all her grandchildren's lives and enjoyed working in her flower beds and gardening. Mrs. Culverhouse was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlene Marie Culverhouse and a grandson, James Matthew Hill.
Surviving relatives include her husband of fifty-six years, Charles Culverhouse, Center Ridge Community; a daughter, Frannie Bolibol (Urban), Honolulu, HI; a son, Chuck Culverhouse (Cortney), Ariton; three sisters, Belinda Buckinger (Mark), Post Oak Community; Janice Sellers, Hueytown, AL; and Christine Knight (Charles), Greenville, TN; two brothers, Holman Outlaw (Skeeter), Brundidge, AL; and Junior Outlaw (Eleanor), Post Oak Community; five grandchildren, Emily Luke, Kalani Allen-Hill, Kaitlyn Culverhouse, Kaylee Culverhouse and Baylee Culverhouse; several nieces and nephews.
