Gary Morris

DOTHAN…Mr. Gary Morris, a resident of Dothan (formerly of Ozark), died early Wednesday morning, December 11, 2024, at his home. He was 75.

 In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned at this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

 Mr. Morris, son of the late Radford Eugene Morris and Mary Helen Adcock Morris, was a native of Lee County, Alabama. He joined the United States Army following high school and moved to Ozark in the 1990’s before moving to Dothan in 2015. Mr. Morris formerly lived in Wyoming before moving to Alabama. He was formerly employed as a police officer and was involved in landscaping. Mr. Morris enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved his k-9, Princess. He was preceded in death by his wife, Caludia Porterfield Morris, son, Steve Morris, and brothers, Larry Morris and Tim Morris.

 Surviving relatives include his daughters, Amy Scott (Richard) and Jennifer Sellers, all of Ozark; three brothers, John Morris (Brenda), Steve Morris (Melony), and Shawn Morris (April); grandchildren, Michal Sellers (Kayla), Dewayne Sellers, Dustin Sellers, Joshua Hood, Troy Hood, Cheyene Scott, Dean Scott, Rebecca Bishop (Joseph), and Kayla Screws (Joshua); great-grandchildren, Dalilah Scott, Oliver Scott, Leo Scott, Kyde Hood, Kylar Hood, Brody Wyant, Emory Screws, Avery Bishop, and Jenson Screws; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
