ARGUTA COMMUNITY…. Mr. Henry William Verhoeff, a resident of the Arguta Community, near Ozark, died Friday afternoon, December 7, 2018 at his home. He was 81.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 10, 2018 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel with Reverend Joe Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
Mr. Verhoeff was a native of Brooten, Minnesota and lived in the Arguta Community since 1961. He was a veteran of the Korean War era, having served in the United States Army. Mr. Verhoeff enjoyed gardening, working in his yards and especially enjoyed his feline companions. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Hanson; his wife, Mary Katherine Verhoeff; a daughter, Kathy Syples Mercer; a grandson, Michael Syples.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Debbie Walters, Ozark; a son, Bobby Syples (Eva), Arguta Community;grandchildren, Eric Walters (Brooke), Brett Walters (Alaina), Kayla Johnson (Daniel), Mary Reznikov (Caleb), Mindy Grace (Gavin), Stephen Hayes, Chris Hayes (Natasha); fourteen great-grandchildren.
