OZARK…. Mrs. Ingeborg Shivers, a resident of Ozark, died Monday morning, February 8, 2021 at her home. She was 87.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, February 11, 2021 in the Newton City Cemetery with Reverend Shane Traylor officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, 1314 Westgate Parkway Suite 2, Dothan, Alabama 36303.
Mrs. Shivers, daughter of the late Franz Josef Kraft and Anna Borman Kraft, was a native of Aschaffenburg, Germany. She moved to the United States in 1955 and lived in various locations while her husband served in the United States Army. Following retirement, they moved to Ozark in 1989. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and being an excellent homemaker. Mrs. Shivers enjoyed being with children and in earlier years worked at the Post Nursery on Ft. Rucker taking care of soldiers’ children. She was preceded in death by her sister, Christine Lingnau of St. Clair Shores, MI.
Surviving relatives include her husband of sixty-six years, Harvey Lee Shivers (Sergeant First Class, United States Army, Retired); her daughter, Christine Clark, both of Ozark; a granddaughter, Amanda Fox of Enterprise; great-granddaughter, Laurel Ann Fox; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
