OZARK…. Mr. Jack E. Blackmon, Jr., a resident of Ozark, died early Saturday morning, September 19, 2020 at his home. He was 74.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Blackmon was a native and longtime resident of Ozark. He attended the University of Alabama and worked with his family at Bee Line Grocery in Ozark for many years. Jack was very talented with woodworking and refinishing antiques.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, Jack Eugene Blackmon, Sr., stepmother, Mary Blackmon, mother, Betty Faye Cammack, stepfather, John Cammack, and half-brother, Roy Blackmon.
Surviving relatives include his siblings, Walter Cammack (Susan), Andalusia, William Cammack (Sue), Panama City, FL, Carol Cope (Tony), Auburn, and Diane Weant (Ferrell), Dozier, AL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins including, Billy Blackmon (Faye), Jimmy Blackmon (Vicky) and Dianne Cobb (Wayne), all of Ozark; and caretaker, Walt Thibeault (Dorothy), Echo Community.
