OZARK… Mrs. Jacklin “Jackie” Gouge, a resident of Ozark, died late Sunday evening, September 11, 2022, in Ozark Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was 88.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 16, 2022, in Faith Christian Center with Pastor Josh Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gouge, daughter of the late Wayne Nathan Hood and Elizabeth Sumner Hood, was a native of Green Town, Indiana. She was a graduate of the Methodist School of Nursing in Indianapolis, Indiana as a Registered Nurse. She was formerly employed with the Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis as the Director of Psychiatry. Mrs. Gouge was a faithful pastor’s wife assisting her husband with his ministry in churches in Indiana, Florida and Alabama before moving to Ozark in 1987. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Stinson; two sisters, Betty Peters and Ruth Myers.
Surviving relatives include her husband of sixty-eight years, Charles E. Gouge, Ozark; a daughter, Lois Merritt (Daniel), Huntsville, Alabama; two sons, Gary Gouge, Sr. (Kathryn), Daytona Beach, Florida and Charles T. Gouge (Sonya), Ozark; a son-in-law, Keith Stinson, Ozark; eleven grandchildren, Charlie Stinson, Kristy Feltis (Troy), Jacob Gouge (Lauren Ashley), Kyle Gouge (Brooklyn), Chasity Seay (Daxley, Sr.), Brittany Lawson (Timothy), Danny Merritt, Bailey Conley, Gary Gouge, Jr. (Brock), Michelle Gouge-Epps (Cricket), Alicia Dawson Dawkins (Brad), Cory Gouge, and Stacey Breuggeman (Eric); great-grandchildren, Austin Sitz (Danielle), Kaddan Sitz (Haiden), Elise Brreuggeman, Taylor Breuggeman, Izzy Gouge, Merritt Gouge, a great granddaughter on the way, Ansley Griffin Gouge, Colin Feltis, Delaney Feltis, Jonah Lawson, Micah Lawson, Blaykeleigh Lawson, Maddie Lawson, Tenley-Kate Lawson, Oakley Lawson, Daxley Seay, Jr., Danica Seay, Addie Seay, and Kamiah Seay; two great-great-grandchildren, Emmitt Sitz and Gracie Sitz.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Daxley Seay, Jr., Danica Seay, Austin Sitz, Kaddan Sitz, Jonah Lawson, and Peyton Metcalf.
