James Cummings

OZARK…. Mr. James Leonard Cummings, a resident of Ozark, died early Tuesday morning, May 19, 2020 in a Dothan hospital. He was 67.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 22, 2020 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Harold Peters officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cummings, son of the late James William Cummings and Evie Lee Walker Cummings, was a native of Ozark. He was formerly employed with Langford Floor Covering as a carpet installer. Mr. Cummings enjoyed assisting the Ewell Volunteer Fire Department with their barbecues. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Langford Cummings; an infant son and a sister, Martha Cummings.

Surviving relatives include his son, Joseph Cummings, Dothan; three sisters, Betty Jean Cummings, Patricia Cummings, and Effie Lee Cummings, all of Ozark; three brothers, Floyd Cummings (Pauline), Ozark; Billy Ray Cummings (Ilene), Blue Springs, and James Earl Cummings (Linda Faye), Ozark; two grandchildren, Kaylee and Kenleigh Cummings; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
