OZARK…. Mrs. Jeanne H. Cheshire, a resident of Ozark, died Thursday morning, January 24, 2019 in an Ozark nursing home. She was 88.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel with Reverend Dr. Billy Gaither officiating.
Burial will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00
until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Ozark Animal Shelter, 1315 Parker Road, Ozark, AL 36360 or to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society,
579 Bivins Road, Ozark, AL 36360.
Mrs. Cheshire, daughter of the late Roman Harnage and Mary Alice Strickland Harnage, was a native and lifelong resident of Ozark. She was retired from Civil Service
at Ft. Rucker as a budget clerk and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ozark. Mrs. Cheshire volunteered as a Pink Lady at Dale Medical Center and she
worked as a poll worker in Ozark for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-seven years, Clifton C. Cheshire; brother, Malroe Harnage.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Dianne C. Ramsey (Michael W.), Ozark; grandson, Kevin W. Ramsey (Andrea); a great-grandson, Clifton W. Ramsey; close friend,
Sarah Mixson, Ozark.
