Jerry Turner, Jr.

GORDON, ALABAMA… Mr. Jerry Lynn Turner, Jr., a resident of Gordon, died late Friday afternoon, February 17, 2023, at his home. He was 62.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 5:30 P.M. Tuesday, February 21, 2023, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Matthew Davidson officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 5:30 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Turner was born January 16, 1961, in Union City, Tennessee and moved to Houston County, Alabama in November 2022. He was retired due to disability as a painter. One of his favorite pastimes was going fishing. Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lynn Turner, Sr., a sister, Lisa Turner Adams.

Surviving relatives include his two sons, Jerry Lynn Turner, III and Derek Turner and his wife, Destiny Watson Turner, Ashford; his mother, Beatrice Jones Turner; a sister, Reatha Haynes (Jackie); a brother, Marty Turner, all of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Jerry Lynn Turner IV, Brandon Turner, and Adalynn Childress.
