BILOXI, MS…JoAnn Bradford, Jones, a resident of Biloxi, MS (formerly of Ozark), died Thursday morning, June 16, 2022, at the home of her daughter in Biloxi. She was 86.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Monday, June 20, 2022, in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Dr. Scott E. Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Vivian B. Adams School, 2047 Stuart Tarter Road, Ozark, AL 36360.
Mrs. Jones, daughter of the late Cash Nathan Bradford and Clara Elizabeth Shehane Bradford, was a native of Buncombe County, North Carolina. She lived in various locations in the United States and overseas while her husband served in the United States Army. Mrs. Jones moved to Ozark in 1968. She was formerly employed with Vivian B. Adams School where she was very active in arranging fundraisers and promoting the school. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She attended Pleasant Hill United Methodist in Ozark. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, David Luther Jones (SP6, United States Army, Retired); an infant son, David Lee Jones; a brother, Woodrow Bradford.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Karen English (Keith), Biloxi, MS; a sister, Doris Lunsford, Belton, SC; a brother, Bruce Bradford (Alice), Candler, NC; a grandson, Cashley English (Brandy); four great-grandchildren, Cashley English, Aaron, Avery English, and River English.
