Kay Fouts

OZARK… Mrs. Kay Bittner Fouts, a resident of Ozark, died late Wednesday afternoon, March 20, 2019 in a Birmingham hospital. She was 84.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 23, 2019 in Pea River Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Reverend John D. Reese, III and Pastor Frank Ellis officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.

Mrs. Fouts, daughter of the late Elvin Daniel Bittner, Jr. and Iris Knight Bittner, was a native of Birmingham and grew up in Ozark. She was a graduate of Troy University and received her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Fouts taught Elementary education in the Philippines for the United States Navy in 1962 and then returned to the Columbus, Georgia where she retired from the Muscogee County School System after thirty two years employment. She returned to Ozark in 1997. Mrs. Fouts was a member of the Ozark Presbyterian Church.

Surviving relatives include her brother, Dan Bittner (Sharon), Moody, AL; her niece, Alissa B. Simpson and nephew, Daniel H. Bittner, both of Birmingham.
