Lynn Hobbs

MIDLAND CITY…Mr. Lynn Hobbs, a resident of Midland City, died Tuesday morning, September 17, 2024, at his home. He was 80.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 21, 2024, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Presley officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in the Arguta Community. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

 Mr. Hobbs, son of the late Felton Lamar Hobbs and Evelyn Mae Givens Hobbs, was a native of Eastmond, Georgia and has lived in the Wiregrass area most of his lifetime. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. In earlier years, he was employed as a truck driver and retired from E & H Steel in Midland City. Mr. Hobbs was preceded in death by two sons, Errand Hobbs and Houston Hobbs; great-granddaughter, Ashlynn Lacoda Clark.

 Surviving relatives include his two daughters, Louise Richardson (Rusty) and Marie Burns, all of Ozark; three sisters, Sarah Ann Lee, Georgia, Susan Simmons, Tallassee, Alabama, and Mary Kathryn Broadway, Nebraska; a brother, Earl Malcolm Taylor, Wetumpka; seven grandchildren including, D.J. Richardson and several great-grandchildren including, Louis Richardson, Daelyn Richardson, and Parker Hobbs; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 Serving as active pallbearers will be D.J. Richardson, Tristan Hobbs, Kyle Franks, Johnny Burns, Louis Richardson, and Daelyn Richardson.
