Mac Chapman

OZARK…Mac Wilson Chapman, infant son of Jonathan Lee Chapman and Meagan Roberts Chapman, was carried by angels to his heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, in Birmingham, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 12, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church of Ozark with Reverend Dr. Jason Thrower and Reverend Melanie Sebastian Foust officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Billy Gaither Sunday School Class c/o Ozark First United Methodist Church, 167 Broad Street, Ozark, Alabama 36360 or to Red Mountain Grace, 2120 16th Avenue South, Suite 201, Birmingham, AL 35205.

Mac was born Thursday, January 26, 2023. He lived thirteen beautiful days in the NICU at Children’s Hospital of Alabama. Mac was perfect, wonderfully made, strong, mighty, inspiring, and loved beyond comprehension. He changed the lives of his parents for the better, as well as the lives of all he met and of those who prayed over him. On Mac's final day on earth his parents told him all about Heaven and about many of the loved ones he would meet there. They told him he would be able to see, and that his body that had fought so hard here would be healed. Mac was such a beautiful light, and his parents feel blessed to know that he is theirs now and in their future. Mac was preceded in death by his precious infant twin siblings, Neil and Nora Chapman.

Surviving in addition to his parents is his sister, Lucy Chapman; grandparents, Larry and Janet Barrington Chapman; Jim and Tanya Tolbert Roberts, all of Ozark; aunt, Emily Pritchett (Perry), Skipperville; uncles, Jarod Tyler Roberts, Ozark, and James Carley Chapman (Kayla), Roeton; several cousins, great aunts, great uncles, and other relatives also survive.

Serving as pallbearers will be uncles, James Carley Chapman and Jarod Tyler Roberts.
