DOTHAN…. Mrs. Marcia Smith Faircloth German, a resident of Dothan, formerly of Ozark, died early Monday evening, February 19, 2018, at her home. She was 72.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, February 22, 2018 in the Bethel United Methodist Church with Dr. Billy Gaither and Reverend Jason Hughes officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 P.M. (C.S.T) in the Oak City Cemetery, Bainbridge, Georgia. Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. German, daughter of the late Hoke Simmons Smith and Erma Louise Cochran Smith, was a native of Bainbridge, Georgia. She formerly lived in Echo and Ozark before moving to Dothan in 2009.
Mrs. German was retired from Michelin Tire Corporation in Dothan after twenty-seven years of employment. She enjoyed playing Bingo Pop on her phone, Atlanta Braves Baseball, Alabama Football and spending time with her beloved family.
Mrs. German was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ellis Faircloth and Bobby German.
Surviving relatives include three daughters, Debbie Faircloth Moseley, Twyla German-Lewis, both of Dothan and Nikki Nelson(Greg), Ozark; a son, B.J. German(Brooke), Dothan;
a sister, Anita Meredith (Roger), Bainbridge, GA; a brother, Hoke Smith(Sandra), Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Hannah Freeman(David), Callie Lewis, Robyn Lewis, and Kinley German;
two great-grandchildren, Harper Freeman and Hatcher Freeman; special K-9 friend, Lucy and several nieces and nephews.
