OZARK…Miguel Angel Serrano, a resident of Ozark, died early Saturday morning, May 13, 2023, at his home. He was 91.
Private entombment services will be held at Woodlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Serrano, son of the late Ramon Serrano and Clotilde Rodriguez, was a native of Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. He formerly lived in Newark, New Jersey before moving to Ozark in 2003. Mr. Serrano retired from Surrey Electrical Company in New Jersey and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New Jersey. Mr. Serrano enjoyed playing golf, working in his yard with his wife following his retirement. In earlier years, he enjoyed being an amateur boxer. Mr. Serrano was preceded in death by his wife, Elda Midiam Serrano; a son, Alexander Serrano.
Surviving relatives include his daughters, Elda V. Serrano, Annette Serrano, and Erlinda Serrano; his sons, Miguel A. Serrano, Jr. and Henry Serrano; a sister, Felicita Serrano; numerous grandchildren.
