MABSON COMMUNITY… Mrs. Nan Snell Parker Heath, a resident of the Mabson Community, near Ozark, died late Thursday evening, April 4, 2019 at her home. She was 77.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 7, 2019 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jean Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Mabson United Methodist Church Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted.
Mrs. Heath was a native and lifelong resident of Dale County. She was a 1959 graduate of Carroll High School in Ozark and was retired as the Director of B & B Forwarding, a subsidiary of Covan Moving and Storage. Mrs. Heath was a "Pink Lady" at Dale Medical Center for many years and enjoyed playing golf with her son. She was especially fond of her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Mrs. Heath also enjoyed spending time watching hummingbirds at her home. She was a member of Mabson United Methodist Church. Mrs. Heath was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ralph Heath; father, Charles Woodrow Snell; mother, Willa Dean Richardson Snell Miller and step-father, Adam "Ad" Miller.
Surviving relatives include her son, Bruce Parker (Jill Laird), Navarre, FL; a brother, Dan Snell, Franklin, TN; step-daughter, Jeannie Hagler (Ronnie), Ozark; four grandchildren, Brent Langford, Brandon Parker, Penny Khneisser (Brent), and Tasha Colson, three great-grandchildren, McKenzie Langford, Jackson Langford, and Madison Love.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Ronnie Hagler, Harvey Monk, David Heath, Morgan Heath, Tim Nemnick, and Camran Nemnick. Honorary pallbearers will be the "Pink Ladies" of Dale Medical Center.
