Rebecca "Becky" Grider

NEWTON… Rebecca “Becky” Grider, a resident of Newton, died early Thursday morning, May 4, 2023, in the emergency room of Dale Medical Center. She was 47.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 7, 2023, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Presley officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

            Becky was born September 7, 1976, in Ozark, where she was a graduate of Carroll High School. She attended Troy University in Troy. Becky enjoyed many hours of phone conversations with family and friends and was always willing to help anyone in need. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Glenn Grider; grandmother, Helen Louise Grider.

            Surviving relatives include her daughter, Chloey Grider; her son, Conner Castro; mother, Claudia Davis; grandmother, Pat Stanton; two sisters, Brittney Grider (Tim Peters) and Dana Sanders (Ozene); three brothers, Jamie Grider (Lynn), Jason Grider (Kate), and Brandon Grider; nieces and nephews, Jaylen, Jaxson, Jonathan, Sabrina, Liam, Will, Jillian, Amber, Haley, Devin, Braydon, and Emyleigh; uncle, David Grider, Ozark; cousins and other relatives.
