ENTERPRISE…. Mr. Robert H. Bennett, a resident of Enterprise, died early Wednesday afternoon, October 14, 2020 in a Dothan hospital. He was 43.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 19, 2020 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Alexander officiating. Graveside services, with military honors, will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
Mr. Bennett was born in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and lived in various locations in the United States and overseas while serving in the United States Army. He served two tours in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan while in the Army. Mr. Bennett received his A & P License from the Enterprise Ozark Aviation School and was currently employed as a helicopter mechanic at Knox Field, Ft. Rucker, Alabama. He was a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, Enterprise Chapter 28-3. Mr. Bennett attended Faith Baptist Church in Enterprise.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Denise M. Bennett, Enterprise; his children, Jorden Steven, Patrick Bennett, Savannah Bennett and Zach White; father, William Bennett (SSG, Retired, United States Army), Ozark; his aunt, Judith Cunningham, Amarillo, TX; sister, Tina Mitchell (Kevin), Jacksonville, AL; a brother; niece and nephews, Melody Mitchell, Kevin Mitchell, and Ryan Mitchell; relatives from the Steven family, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald Steven and Ann Steven, Stockbridge, MA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James Steven (Heather), Cecilia Morin, Matthew McCulloch, Mary Roy, and Travis Roy; nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Tim Tisdel, Jose Adorno, Matthew Hedges, James Brown, Buddy Williamson, Jeff Watkins, and Zach White
