POST OAK COMMUNITY…. Mrs. Ruth Watson Hagler, a resident of the Post Oak Community, near Ozark, died Friday afternoon, July 12, 2019 in Dale Medical Center. She was 78.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 15, 2019 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel with Reverend Barry Clark and Reverend Robbie Pugh officiating. Burial will follow in First Holy Ground Church Cemetery, Post Oak Community. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the House of Prayer Church of God, 719 Matthews Avenue, Ozark, AL 36360.
Mrs. Hagler, daughter of the late Lewie Watson and Lola Mae Robertson Watson, was a native of Newton, Alabama. She moved to the Post Oak Community in 1960 and in earlier years, was employed by Judy Bond in Ozark. Mrs. Hagler was a member of the House of Prayer Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband of over sixty-years, Johnnie C. Hagler; daughter-in-law, Lannie Hagler.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Wanda Cryer (Shawn), Ozark; her son, Wesley Hagler, Ozark; two sisters-in-law, Annette Bright, Post Oak Community and Lanara Barrentine, Echo Community; a brother, Dennis Watson, Echo Community; grandson, Cole Hagler; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Bright, John Bright, Robin Bell, Kendall Smith, Tim Johnson, Tommy Roberts, Dustin Roberts, and Brett Roberts.
