Sarah Meeks

MIDLAND CITY…. Mrs. Sarah Carroll Meeks, a resident of Midland City, died early Thursday afternoon, March 11, 2021 in a Dothan hospital. She was 60.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 13, 2021 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Woodham officiating. Burial will follow in Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Meeks, daughter of the late Sherman Carroll and Ollie Bell Ammons Carroll, was a native of Ozark, Alabama and moved to Midland City eighteen years ago. She was a member of Chalkhead Baptist Church. Mrs. Meeks was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Blake Ivey; grandson, Jordin Carroll; sister, Rebecca Johns and a brother, David Carroll.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Kenneth Meeks, Midland City; two sons, Wayne Carroll, Dothan and Christopher Carroll, Midland City; her sister, Cindy Carroll, Dothan; four brothers, Alvy Carroll (Dawn), Dothan, Mark Carroll (Lacrisha), Mobile, Robert Carroll (Meshell), Dothan, and Sherman Carroll (Melissa), Ozark; three grandchildren, Jonathan Carroll, Colten Birchler, and Marley Lynn Carroll; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
