Sarah Martha Gauldon

OZARK…Mrs. Sarah Martha Bivins Gauldon, a resident of Ozark, died early Sunday morning, February 26, 2023, at her home. She was 92.

Homegoing services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, March 4, 2023, in Church of God By Faith with Pastor H.N. Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Sister Sarah Gauldon was born to John and Mae “Levy” Olivia Bivins on November 30, 1930. In 1949, she met a man, Tommy Lee Harvey, and out of that union they welcomed three children. For years Sister Sarah was a dedicated member of Church of God by Faith. She later became a missionary in the church along with becoming the Valedictorian of her nursing class. Sister Sarah Gauldon was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Gauldon; a son, Henry Harvey; and granddaughter, Vanessa Lewis.

She leaves her wonderful memories with her two daughters, Catherine Phillips (Kitten) and Mae Harvey (Baby Sister); grandchildren, Marlon Lewis, Deitrich Lewis (wife), Lee Lewis, Altrice James, Eric Manley, Charnithia Manley(wife), Raymond Phillips, Earlene Smith, Nathaniel Melton, and Latasha Melton; great-grandchildren, Brandi Williams, Bre-zaye’ Moffett, Alex Moffett (husband), Sir-vonte’ James, Tre O’Neal, Breh O’Neal (wife), Ti’Ayanna Griffin, Marlon Lewis, Jr., Devion Flowers, David Flowers, Khristan McCray, Lorenzo Fance, Shyaire Smith, Eriyah Manley, Damien Melton, Superior Drummond, Deztinee Melton, Domonic-Riveria Cruz; her one and only great-great-grandchild, Adore’ Moffett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Eric Manley, Sir-Vonte’ James, Craig Dickens, Raymond Phillips, Lee Bryant, and Jose Rivera.
