OZARK…. Shanora “Nau Nau” Nelson, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday evening, October 9, 2019 in a Dothan hospital. She was 35.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 12, 2019 in the Harvest Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Bobby Ned Peters and Reverend Jason Miller officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 1:00 P.M. Saturday in the church sanctuary. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Shanora had a gentle and humble spirit, yet she was a confident woman. She never tried to be someone that she wasn't. She loved to sing, and you could find her singing in the choir at church every single Sunday. She had a deep love for children and serving others. Shanora loved to color, scrapbook, and take "selfies" with others. She was very talented and artistic. Her favorite color was purple, and it is so befitting, because the color purple has been known to represent royalty and she is now clothed in royalty and in the presence of her Savior. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her. Shanora was a faithful member of Harvest Free Will Baptist Church and was also a teacher’s aide at Harvest Christian School.
Surviving relatives include her parents, Alonzo and Annie Nelson; siblings, Janette Chaney of Columbus, GA, Antonio "Tony" Nelson and Candace, Shadera Nelson, Nicholas Nelson and Hope, and her three nieces and two nephews, (LJ, Kallie, Jy'Khia, Isaiah, and Keiara).
