Sherry Fowler Tolbert, a resident of Ozark, died early Sunday morning, August 19, 2018 following complications from Breast Cancer. She was 61.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel with Dr. John Granger officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sandi McCool Champions of Hope, c/o Southeast Alabama Medical Center Foundation, 1922 Fairview Avenue, Dothan, Alabama 36301.
Mrs. Tolbert was a native of Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey and lived in various locations in the United States and overseas while her father and husband served in the United States Army. She was a 1975 Graduate of Carroll High School in Ozark and made her home in Ozark in 1978. Mrs. Tolbert was retired from Headland Farmer's Co-Op as a bookkeeper after twenty-five years employment. She was a member of Westview Heights United Methodist Church in Ozark. Mrs. Tolbert was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Lee Tolbert; brother-in-law, Don Jones and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dock and Bernice Tolbert.
Survivors include her daughter, Tracy Tolbert (Mitch Hall), Midland City; her parents, Fred and Deanna Basel Fowler, Enterprise; three sisters, Francine Fowler Jones, Enterprise; Laurie Fowler Bishop (Bill), Chickasaw, AL; and Janice Fowler Lackey (Larry), Enterprise; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Terry Tolbert (Carolyn) and Tanya Tolbert Roberts (Jim), all of Ozark; several nieces and nephews.
Nephews will serve as active pallbearers.
