OZARK…Mrs. Sherry Taunton Trawick, a resident of Ozark, died late Wednesday afternoon, July 3, 2024, in a Dothan hospital. She was 75.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 8, 2024, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with her sister, Gwen Katzenbach officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Trawick, daughter of the late Dallas Nathan Taunton and Loretta Mae Williams Chavis, was a native of Westville, Florida. She formerly lived in Newton, Alabama before moving to Ozark in 2007. Mrs. Trawick was a 1966 Graduate of Cottondale High School in Cottondale, Florida. She was formerly employed with The Closet and Bill & Pat’s Thrift Store in Ozark. Mrs. Trawick was preceded in death by her sisters, Julia Margo Taunton and Joan Charlotte Young.
Surviving relatives include her husband, James R. Trawick, Ozark; two sons, Brian Gene Caldwell (Leslie), Collins, Georgia and Joey Dewayne Caldwell, Grand Prairie, Texas; two sisters, Patricia Bowman (Billy) and Gwen Katzenbach, all of Ozark; seven grandchildren, Keith Caldwell, Kyle Caldwell, Kevin Caldwell, Connor Caldwell, Alexis Caldwell, Tristan Caldwell, and Dakota Caldwell; three great-grandchildren, Persephone Caldwell, Jaxon Caldwell, and Lucy Caldwell.
