Sonja Jorgensen

Sonja Ann Jorgensen, of Ozark, AL, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center following a brief illness. She was 53.

A memorial service will be held at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. with Reverend Edward Douglas officiating. Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She went to Wallace Community College and received a degree in cosmetology. Afterward, she moved to Killeen, Texas with her daughter, Rebecca Rose Stallworth. Five years later they returned to Ozark.

Sonja was preceded in death by her parents, Cletis Melvin Hoage, Sr. and Rose Marie Lampley; and one brother, James Alexander Hoage.

She is survived by three children, Rebecca Rose Stallworth (and husband), Taylor Jorgensen, and Tylor Jorgensen; four grandchildren, Kyrstyn Ariel Stallworth, Maurice Christian Stallworth, Jr., Walter Payton Stallworth, and Brooke Sierra Stallworth; one great-grandchild, Aubrey Michelle Ross. Sonja is also survived by her four sisters and two brothers, Teresa K. Tidwell (and husband, David), of Grand View, ID, Stepheni Deese, of Ozark, Eva Syples (and husband, Bobby), of Ozark, Gladys Henderson (and husband, Jacque), of Killeen, TX, Cletis Melvin Hoage, Jr. (and wife, Becky), of Bonney Lake, WA, and Steven Lamont Hoage (and wife, Brenda), of Ozark.
