Steven Mcdowell, Sr.

SHILOH, GEORGIA… Mr. Steven W. McDowell, Sr., a resident of Shiloh, Georgia, died Monday evening, January 24, 2022, at the home of a sister in the Mabson Community, near Ozark, He was 61.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. (E.T.) Friday, January 28, 2022, in the Park Hill Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia, with Pastor Brian Presley officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McDowell, son of the late William Edward McDowell and Jacqueline Elizabeth Pringle Bowling, was a native of Mobile, Alabama. He moved to Columbus, Georgia at an early age and lived most of his lifetime there.

Surviving relatives include his son, Steven Wayne McDowell, Jr. (Lindsey), Rome, Georgia; four sisters, Debra Ann Perry (Larry), Linda Diane Jones (Mike), Angela Elizabeth Petchaur (Ron), Tracy Leigh Dean (Glenn); five grandchildren, Lucy Pearl McDowell, Lulah Grey McDowell, Ida Ruth McDowell, Opal June McDowell, and Wendell George McDowell.
