Sylvia Clymie Baggett, or better known to her family and friends as "Billie", age 88, of Ariton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Oak View Manor.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Pastor Justin Abercrombie officiating. Burial will follow in Center Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to service time.
Mrs. Baggett was born to Grover and Cammie Byrd on September 20, 1928 in Richton, MS. She was best known by most while working at Walmart in Ozark for years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and loved gospel music at the Klondyke Gospel Music Center. She was a member of Center Ridge Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Baggett, Jr., her beloved daughter, Charlene Baggett; her mom and dad; brothers, Paul, Bruce, Bob, Cranford, Cecil, C.H. and sisters, Geneva Wolk and Jewel Meadows.
She is survived by her daughters, Wilma Sanders (Dick) and Gloria McHale (Ed); a granddaughter, Melodie (Richard) Stoe and a grandson, Brennan Mullins; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Also she leaves behind many special friends and family members including Jerry Elliott and Chuck Landberg.
