Ariton

ARITON… Ms. Tammy K. Posey, a resident of Ariton (formerly of Columbus, Georgia), died Saturday evening, September 10, 2022.  She was 59.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. (E.D.T.) Saturday, October 1, 2022, in the River of Life Church, 509 Idle Hour Drive, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. The family asks everyone to dress casually because Tammy’s favorite thing to wear was a Georgia Bulldog Shirt and jeans.  Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark was in charge of arrangements.

Tammy was born November 4, 1962, in Columbus, Georgia and had recently moved to Ariton. She attended River of Life Church in Phenix City. Tammy was a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. She loved the lord, enjoyed singing and practicing sign language. Tammy will be greatly missed by everyone, but especially her grandchildren. One of the favorite times of the year was Halloween and watching horror movies.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Melba Posey; a sister, Brenda Hunt, and her husband, who was like a father to Tammy, Donnie Hunt; an infant brother.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Deborah Smith (Seth Bartlett), Waverly Hall, Georgia; three grandchildren, Emily, Chase, and Hayden; nieces who were like her sisters, Kimberly Mason, Ladonia, Alabama and Kay Carroll, Snellville, Georgia; three great nieces and four great nephews; several cousins and other relatives.
