OZARK…. Mr. Virgil Wiggins, a resident of Ozark, died Monday afternoon, August 3, 2020 at his home. He was 86.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 6, 2020 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Wiggins, son of the late Theophilus Wiggins and Zadie Zeffie Herndon Wiggins, was a native of the Echo Community. He lived in various locations before returning to Ozark in 2010. Mr. Wiggins was formerly employed with Junior Andrews, Glenn Deloney, Randy and Andy Deloney as a truck driver. He enjoyed restoring classic cars, playing rook, and was a master domino player. Mr. Wiggins was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Elizabeth Loggins Wiggins; daughter, Gloria Diane Sessoms; two step-sons, Danny and Ricky Cosper.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Kathryn Elaine Campbell (Jerry), Rockingham, NC and Donna Lynn Davis (John), Hamlet, NC; two sons, Michael Wiggins (Melissa), Dothan and Johnny Cosper, Griffin, GA; sister-in-law, Beverly Holtzclaw; brother-in-law, Frank Loggins, both of Griffin, GA; eleven grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren.
Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
