NEWTON…Mr. William Hershel Creamer, a resident of Newton, died Saturday morning, November 25, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 92.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 28, 2023, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ray Layton and his grandson, Reverend Joe Creamer, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Creamer, son of the late Dan Creamer and Frankie Moore Creamer, was a native and lifelong resident of Newton. He retired from Howell Plywood Company after fifty years of employment. Mr. Creamer was a veteran having served in the United States Army and was member of Grace Assembly of God Church in Newton. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Faye Creamer; two sons, Jeff Creamer and Robert Creamer; a sister, Betty Andrews Carpenter; two grandsons, Cody Creamer and Richard Black; a daughter-in-law, Jessie Smith Black.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Frances Rachel Creamer; two daughters, Glenda Walker and Judy Cordes (Kevin), all of Newton; three sons, James Black, Joe Mack Creamer (Ginger), all of Midland City and Anthony Creamer, Newton; stepdaughter, Janice Walker (Keith), Newton; two stepsons, Tommy M. Watson (Darlene) and Tony Watson (Donna), all of Newton; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Justin Hand, Jordan Watson, Jack Cordes, Gage Dykes, Levi Creamer, and Connor Hand.
