Willie James Smiley

OZARK…Mr. Willie James Smiley, a resident of Ozark, passed away early Friday morning, March 1, 2024, at the home of his sister in Ozark. He was 68.

            Homegoing services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 9, 2024, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services, with military honors, will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

            Mr. Smiley, son of the late Trammel Smiley, Sr. and Ruby Lee Allen Smiley, was a native of Troy, Alabama. He moved to Hamilton, Ohio at an early age and was a graduate of Hamilton High School. Mr. Smiley was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was married to Grejanell for several years. Mr. Smiley moved to Ozark in 1998 and was formerly employed with Gilland Chevrolet in Ozark. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Smiley and a sister, Annie Ruth Bailey.
